So we've watched "Potty Power" WAY too many times, and Maddie has Dora underwear in every hue of the rainbow, and daycare has dutifully introduced the concept of potty training each day...but not much action has been happening on Ms. M's part. Part of this is probably because we have not tried very hard to push her to use the potty, but mostly, it's because she likes to keep me up at night worrying that she won't be able to enter preschool.
"Mommy, I have to go pee pee..."
"OK Maddie, let's go sit on the potty."
"NO! I don't want to sit on the potty" - a look of relief on her face, and I know she's gone in her diaper. "OK, let's go change my pull up."
Sigh (from me).
But every so often (see video), she'll tease us and actually poop or pee on the potty - just to show us who is really in charge.

I don't know what to say! Maddie just has you on her palm :-) My boy stops going on the toilet completely. Now when he begins the action, I sometimes ask him: "Are you poopooing? Do you want to go to the toilet?" He gives me that smile and says "Nathan go poopoo on the floor." Of course, that has effectively shot me from asking those questions again, at least for now.
Oh, look at the cute little nudist!
