So I've been away from home for the past week at what can only be called Endocrine Boot Camp. I flew out to the Mayo Clinic on Friday and have been attending all day conferences from literally 6:30 am until 9 pm every night...with such scintillating topics as "The Role of Thyroid Ultrasound in the Detection of Thyroid Cancer Recurrence" and "The Physics behind Dual Energy X Ray Asorbitometry". Although I have been learning a ton and it has been fun meeting different endocrine fellows from around the country...I miss home so so much.
Although I bitch and moan about not having any time to myself and how demanding Maddie can be at times...I can't believe how empty my life feels without Maddie and David nearby.
